It’s been a busy time for Lucas Hickman Smith and our clients over the past few months, with a number of projects gaining planning approval, including outline consent for ten new homes at Norwich Common in Wymondham, a new semi-subterranean house in the Conservation Area in Geldeston, and further new houses in Great Ellingham and Redgrave in Suffolk.
The Redgrave house will occupy a subdivided plot on the edge of the Conservation Area, and its contemporary appearance proved quite controversial. It was the first project to pass through the new RIBA Suffolk Design Review Panel, whose supportive comments were instrumental in convincing the Planning Committee to approve the scheme.
