Following a long career in architecture, Paul will be leaving the practice in order to undertake voluntary work for various environmental and nature conservation groups. He has always had a passion for the natural world and hopes to plant a lot of trees in order to help mitigate the effects of climate change.
Having setup his Wymondham based practice in 1994 he has overseen various changes, merging with Terry Hickman Smith in 2004 to form Lucas Hickman Smith and then more recently, following Terry’s retirement, reforming as Lucas+Western Architects in 2018.
He will remain as a consultant to the practice as it moves forward with John Western at the helm. In the meantime we wish Paul the very best in his future activities.
