Planning permission and Scheduled Monument Consent have recently been obtained for conversion works to the crypt and west wing of the Assembly House in the centre of Norwich. The proposals add to the successful mix of accommodation which includes restaurant, event space, hotel rooms and cookery school. The conversion of the historic crypt will provide access to atmospheric subterranean lounge and dining spaces which can also be used for presentations and events. The conversion of the west wing will add 2 more luxury bedrooms to the popular hotel rooms housed in the east wing. Overall the project helps secure the long term future for this historic building.
