Several members of staff from Lucas Hickman Smith took to the road on their bikes this weekend to take part in the Bowthorpe Experiment, a Norwich Festival event billed as a fusion of cycling, urban design and film.
Norwich-based curators Townley and Bradby staged the event – a cycle tour of Norwich looking at how pedestrians cycles and cars interact on the city’s streets. The event culminated with an open-air bicycle-powered cinema projecting a Townley and Bradby film-piece, a bike’s-eye view of Norwich, onto the side-wall of Roy’s supermarket in the centre of Bowthorpe.
